WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production)
The Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) program is the world’s largest facility certification program mainly focused on the apparel, footwear and sewn products sectors. Facilities receive a certification of six months to one year based on compliance with the 12 WRAP Principles. WRAP enjoys wide support from the global apparel industry but is, at the same time, independent of the industry. Active support is provided by the International Apparel Federation and more than 20 additional trade and industry associations from around the world.

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
GOTS certificate can be obtained when raw materials originate from organic cultivation and are processed using the GOTS sustainable textile production methods. This standard covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution of all textiles made from at least 70% certified organic natural fibres

ORGANIC CONTENT STANDARD (OCS Standard)
OCS Standard is a standard for tracking and documenting the purpose, handling and use of 100 % certified organically farmed ingredients. It also provides a tool for companies to use in confirming that the products they are buying or selling contain the percentage of organic cotton that they have stated.

FAIR TRADE
Since its launch in 2002 the Fair Trade has become the most widely, recognised social and development label in the world.Fairtrade offers companies a credible way to ensure that their trade has a positive impact for the people at the end of the chain.Fairtrade rewards and encourages farming and production practices that are environmentally sustainable.

FACTORY SECURITY ASSESSMENT (CTPAT)
The mission of the Security Assessment Program is to partner with international suppliers and importers to drive the development of a global security verification process resulting in greater assurance , risk control, efficiency and cost savings for all participants.The Security Assessment Program is the result of a collaboration between industry thought leaders and decision makers to assure both governments operate efficiently and comply with the evolving C-T PAT, the WCO framework and related border security requirements, customs, in – country field inspections, and information technology exports with proven business procedures and proprietary related to international trade.

FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL (FSC)
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent, not-for-profit, nongovernmental organization established to support environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. The FSC vision is that the world’s forests meet the social, ecological, and economic rights and needs of the present generation without compromising those of future generations. Labelling products and promoting them with FSC trademarks helps consumers to make informed decisions about the products and materials they purchase. For a product to be claimed as FSC certified, there must be an unbroken chain of organizations independently certified by FSC-accredited certification bodies covering every change in legal ownership of the product from the certified forest or point of reclamation up to the organization selling it with an FSC claim on sales documents and/or to the point where the product is finished and FSC labelled

GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARD (GRS)
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of Recycled Content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. The goal of the GRS is to increase use of Recycled materials in products and reduce/eliminate the harm caused by its production. The Global Recycled Standard is intended for use with any product that contains at least 20% Recycled Material. Each stage of production is required to be certified, beginning at the recycling stage and ending at the last seller in the final business-to-business transaction. Material Collection and Material Concentration sites are subject to self-declaration, document collection, and on-site visits.

RECYCLED CLAIM STANDARD (RCS)
The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) is an international, voluntary standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of Recycled input and chain of custody. The goal of the RCS is to increase the use of Recycled materials. The Recycled Claim Standard is intended for use with any product that contains at least 5% Recycled Material. Each stage of production is required to be certified, beginning at the recycling stage and ending at the last seller in the final business-to-business transaction. Material Collection and Material Concentration sites are subject to self-declaration, document collection, an on-site visits.

BCI
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), or just Better Cotton for short, is the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world. Farmers, ginners, spinners, suppliers, manufacturers, brand owners, retailers, civil society organisations, donors and governments. BCI trains farming communities to produce cotton in ways that improve things for everyone and everything connected with this fluffy white staple. For farm workers and farming communities, it means decent work, gender empowerment and less inequality.

For farmers operating on an industrial scale, it means embracing new and more innovative practices, where sustainability translates into profitability. The Better Cotton Standard System is a holistic approach to sustainable cotton production which covers all three pillars of sustainability: environmental, social and economic.

HIGG (FEM)
The Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM) is a sustainability assessment tool that standardizes how facilities measure and evaluate their environmental performance, year over year. The Higg FEM is designed to:

• Measure and quantify the sustainability impacts of a facility
• Reduce redundancy in measuring and reporting sustainability performance
• Drive business value through reducing risk and uncovering inefficiencies
• Create a common means and language to communicate sustainability to stakeholders

SLCP
The Social and Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) is a non-profit initiative established to provide a systematic assessment and verification proves for stake holders throughout global value chains. SLCP allows responsible suppliers, manufacturers, brand representatives and other industry stakeholders to redirect time and resources spent on duplicative social assessment toward improving workplace conditions and ensuring fair, safe and gainful employment.

SLCP assessment offers a practical alternative to differing proprietary tools used in repetitive audits used for a single purpose. Spending less time and money for multiple social audits allows you to redirect your efforts and resources to effectively impact working conditions and practices within your facility. Verified SLCP data can be shared to provide you more opportunity for greater comparability of the social and labor data of your business partners worldwide.

REGENAGRI
Regenerative cotton is a type of cotton grown using principles and practices of regenerative agriculture, which aims to improve soil health, increase biodiversity, and create a closed-loop system. The benefits of regenerative cotton include improved soil health, increased water retention, reduced dependence on synthetic chemicals/pesticides as well as promoting biodiversity. Regenerative cotton farming has environmental (reduced soil degradation), economic (reduce reliance on external inputs) and social benefits for local communities by creating jobs & reducing poverty.

Its use is becoming increasingly popular among farmers & textile producers due to the increasing demand from consumers for sustainable products; this trend is expected to continue in the future. AMFORI – BEPI
The amfori Business Environmental Performance Initiative (BEPI) is a comprehensive system designed to support businesses in managing and improving their environmental performance. The amfori BEPI aims to create a structured pathway for businesses to monitor, manage, and ultimately improve their environmental performance. It provides tools, resources, and a framework to assess your current environmental footprint and identify areas for improvement. COTTON MADE IN AFRICA (CmiA)
Cotton made in Africa (CmiA) is an initiative of the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF), which was established in 2005 with the objective of helping people help themselves through trade in order to promote sustainable development, protect the environment, and secure a better future for coming generations. The “Cotton made in Africa” or “CmiA” trademark is sold to buyers and consumers as a baseline sustainability concept. The Cotton made in Africa claim is more thoroughly defined through principles, criteria, and indicators that include management requirements as well as social, environmental, and economic aspects relating to the cultivation and ginning of cotton. The standard provides the basis for uninterrupted traceability from farm to ginnery.
